VAPT (Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing) is a comprehensive approach used to identify, evaluate, and address security vulnerabilities in systems, networks, or applications. It combines two key processes: Vulnerability Assessment (VA)—which focuses on discovering security flaws—and Penetration Testing (PT)—which attempts to exploit these flaws to determine their real-world impact. Depending on the level of information shared with testers, VAPT can be categorized into three types: White Box, Black Box, and Grey Box testing.
